Aixada is committed to responsible sourcing and the ethical treatment of animals. Our handbags are crafted using legally obtained reticulated python leather (Python reticulatus), a species classified as "Least Concern" on the IUCN Red List and not currently listed as endangered.

While some python species face conservation concerns, the reticulated python is widely distributed across Asia and is utilized in regulated trade systems, including for meat and leather, similar to other natural materials used in fashion.

Baixada sources its materials in compliance with applicable wildlife trade regulations, including U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service requirements and international CITES controls governing the import and export of exotic skins. We operate under the appropriate permits to ensure all materials are legally and responsibly acquired.
